Deadline & Iceland Money problems

The Deadline for songs submissions in Iceland has just passed in the 20.10.08 (Yesterday).

The broadcaster in Iceland, RUV, has extended the time allocated for songs
submission to the national final by one week which gave the artists until
yesterday to submit songs rather than a week before.

This move by RUV had to be taken after the country got hit very badly by the economics crisis which crashed two banks and the country currency - almost ruining the nation financially, which resulted in the broadcaster had to dedicate the major part of their efforts for other stuff.

Iceland was saved from breakage by a loan it got from Russia who will host the next eurovision song contest (great now russia owns another country .... as if it's not enough the mafia they are
having in votes already)
