Introduction to Sims


Hey :) I am Sims Moyal hope to find my place to share my Eurovision life...

Well Sailing throw my story - Sharing my history:

1982 - 3 years old, Nursery
My brothers wanted to watch Kdam Eurovision '82 but they had to babysit me so they put me with them in the living room so i didn't have much choice :-),

1985 - 6 years old, Kindergarden
I wanted to watch the contest but i was only in kindergarden so my parents didn't allow me to stay that late so i heard it on a reel tape that my sister recorded from the radio.

1986 - 7 years old, 1st grade
This year i was in 1st grade so i insisted that i am all grown up to watch eurovision and stay that late - but i was pursuaded to go to bed before the voting by all kinds of presents :-).

1987 - 8 yeard old, 2nd grade
No promises could hold me!! this year !! :-) i watched the ENTIRE show for the first time.

1988 - 9 years old, 3rd grade
The First time i wrote notes about the songs.

1989 - 10 years old, 4th grade
The First time that i record the contest on reel cassete.

1990 - 11 years old, 5th grade
1. The first year that i owned a computer (i remember it on April '90, my parents bought it, XT 8/16Mhz !!!)
2. first time that i printed a list of countries and songs participating.

1991 - 12 years old, 6th grade
The first year i recorded on a reel tape the entire show with voting.

1992 - 13 years old, 7th grade
The first year that i had also a cross table of the votes.

1993 - 14, 8th grade
My brother bought a VCR - first year i recorded the contest.

1994 - 15, 9th grade
First year i watched the eurovision with Israel not in the contest because of the stupid and poor decision to select Sarale Sharon to represent us in 1993, was pretty ashen without us in the entire thing.

1995 - 16, 10th grade
1. The first year i started collecting Past eurovision songs
I had 25 eurovision songs in a reel tape.
2. First year i had "The Eurovision Clip" a slides of pictures with all the songs as a medly:
Eurovision Clip - 25 Songs, 7 Mintues long.

1996 - 17, 11th grade
1. Eurovision Collection Stock: 46 songs in reel tape, 4 video preformeces on VHS & 22 parts of performences on VHS.
2. Eurovision Clip - 46 Songs, 59 Mintues long

1997 - 18, 12th grade
1. The first year i owned a Eurovision CD (Douze Points a double issue CD).
2. Eurovision Collection Stock: 89 Songs : 50 in reel tapes and 49 in the CD.
Eurovision Clip - 89 Songs, 1 Hour and 45 Mintues long.

1998 - 19, 1st year of military service
1. The First time i witnessed the victory of my own country an Israeli victory by Dana International
2. The first year i voted (Portugal)
3. The first year i had Internet connection and could talk with other people about the contest without them getting bored.
4. Last year of the Eurovision Clip - Since 1998 i just had too many songs to make the clip so the idea got cancelled
In it's last edition the clip had 115 Songs and was 2 Hours and 30 Mintues long.

1999 - 20, 2nd year of military service
1. The Eurovision Song Contest Collection Founded! instead of the Eurovision clip i opened in my hard disk a place for all Eurovision media! > First Stocktaking: 256 Files, 420MB
2. First time i went and were IN the Eurovision - a psychedelic experience indeed!!

2000 - 21, 3rd and last year of military service
1.Malcolm and his wondeful website of files Expand my collection 5 fold ! hail the guru !
2. Eurovision Collection Stocktaking: 1,990 Files, 3,600MB
3. Voted for Macedonia - Switzerland Won the EuroSims of 2000.

2001 - 22, Between Army and civilness
1. Eurovision Collection Stocktaking: 6,700 Files, 19,500MB
2. First year i started exchanging video tapes on the mail with people over sea
3. Voted for Greece - Germany won the EuroSims of 2001.

2002 - 23, First Year in College
1. First Eurovision of me knowing that i am gay
2. Voted for Finland, Latvia, Slovenia - tried also for Macedonia but it was too late.
3. Macedonia won the EuroSims of 2002.
4. Eurovision Collection Stocktaking: 13,500 Files, 26,770MB
5. First year i was able to download a stream

2003 - 24, Second Year in College
1. First Eurovision that i was Interviewed for the newspaper (a virtual magazine)
2. Voted for Belgium and also Belgium won my EuroSims
3. First year i was in a eurovision convention.
4. First year i had a Massive Party at my house in the cost of 1,000NIS (about 300$)
5. First year for the histery of Songfestival.nl
6. First year for Soulseek
7. Eurovision Collection Tally: 33,200 Files, 66,250MB

2004 - 25, Social Security Job & Moving to Tel Aviv
1. First Eurovision that i am being Interviewed and having pictures of mine in the Newspaper and this time a real one!.
2. Voted for Greece 16 Times in the Semi Final and 29 Times in the Final, Macedonia winning the EuroSims but Sakis Stays Sims Best loved singer (and yes, fantasy ;-) )
3. 2nd Eurovision Massive Party in the cost of 1,000 NIS
4. Eurovision Collection Stocktaking: 37,564 Files, 85,600MB

2005 - 26, First full year in Tel Aviv
1. First time i had my own representive (Omar Naber)
2. First time i went to the synagogue to praire for my Man in Kiev (Omar The Great)
3. Voted for Slovenia and didn't give a damn about the actual results since it was a really something to scoff about considering the fact that Moldova and Macedonia got such high places when they really has being a trash-shows.
4. Eurovision Collection Stocktaking: 44,560 Files, 120,966MB
5. First Eurovision in my own apartment
6. 3rd Eurovision Massive Party in the cost of almost 1,200 NIS.
7. First year i had a Video DVD Recorder
8. First year i was Personaly involved in Producing a National Final (was in charged of the postcards in the Kdam Eurovision of 2005).
9. First year i decided to ignore the results as they were such a bogus.

2006 - 27 years old, 2nd year in Tel Aviv, Comverse
1. First year i had a serious relationship
2. First year ever i didn't stayed in to watch the entire show and walk out in the middle of the voting cause it became a freak show! just the worst show in town - which caused a major break down with my relation with the contest.
3. First year for my Eurovision account in youtube

2007 - 28 years, 3rd year in Tel Aviv, SAP
1. First year i didn't collect a single thing about Eurovision
cause it became waste of time to deal with.
2. The Eastern Mafia at it's maximum power this year.

2008 - 29 years, 4th year in Tel Aviv
1. First year i was just so disgusted by what is going on with the contest half of the time i was doing other stuff rather than being glued to the TV in full concentration.

Well, here we are.... do YOU think Eurovision will start raising from it's ashes now ?
