Malta Change Selection Procedure

Massive changes happened in Malta as their national final selection procedure has being changed.

Unlike what i have posted here a few weeks ago about the Maltese national selection, now it seems that not 80 songs but only 56 song will take part in the selection of the Maltese song to Eurovision 2009.

Only 56 entries will be taking part in the Maltese National Final and all of them will be released in a trio CD album for the first time, in order to promote them with the people in Malta.

An attempt to cancel the rule where if a singer submit 2 songs and they are both qualified for the National final he won't have to give up one of them but so far PBS (Maltese broadcaster) refused to budge on this issue, so this rule still applies.

How it's exactly going to be now with only 56 songs i have no idea but will post when i will know better on the issue.
